As of 2007, Africa has won had 15 Nobel laureates, seven of which have been for Peace, and five more for Literature. There has been one winner each for Medicine, Physics and Chemistry.
In Somalia, Mauritania, Algeria and Morocco, Muslims make up 99-100% of the population; in Congo Rep., South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia, they are less than 2%, and split almost evenly in at least six other countries.

Egypt led Africa in the number of tourist arrivals, with more than 8.2 million visitors; South Africa is second at 7.5 million. Tunisia, Morocco and Zimbabwe round out the top five.
